 | Subject: How to open a PXD file and save an image Mon 29 Jun - 14:46 | |
| This is a simple tut to show those of you who have never seen or used a PXD file before, how to open it, and how to save a singe image using Pixlr and your PXD file.Hope this make sense to you all, if not, fire the questions at me.First bring up the Pixlr Apphttp://www.digiscrapcafe.net/h3-onlinegrafixeditor IMAGE1 In the above image, place your mouse over where the blue is highlighted on the Pixlr software, and click....IMAGE 2 Navigate to the folder that contains the PXD file you want to upload to Pixlr.......IMAGE 3 Upload file (NOTE: Be patient, sometimes depending on the size it might take several seconds to load) Once loaded, notice the interface shows you all the layers in the file to the right.IMAGE 4 In this case we are going to simply save a jpeg image of what you see. Notice that the first 4 layers have been clicked off (hidden) in the layer frame. These were the layers I did not want in the new image.IMAGE 5 Pull down the file menu to the top left and click save.IMAGE 6 When the next box pops up, it will ask you how you want to save (JPEG, PNG, TIFF, or PXD) be sure to click either JPEG or PNG, depending on what you want. Also note, this process may also take a few seconds while Pixlr loads the new format.IMAGE 7 Once the proper selection has loaded, click save. Done, simple as that. There are many things you can do with the free Pixlr app, without the need of Photoshop. Check out the other forums in this section, for more tuts. |

Is this correct?
I can not see the layer you are asking about??? but I do know that occasionally you might find a blank layer (my bad) because I may have not deleted an un needed layer. If you managed to save all visible layers to separate pngs tho, then you are on top of the game Just keep playing around with the editor, and you will get used to it. Check out some of the tuts, etc.. You may find soon enough that you are running to this app more than you are pulling up Photoshop lol |

| I have PS E and it drives me crazy, I find it hard to use...
LOVE Pixlr, used to have Gimp in my desktop, but since it is no longer working correctly, I am using Stephens laptop, and do not want to add more software to it, so Pixlr is my preferred
So, you may find more files like that in the future, altho I do try to add PSD when I can
Would love you to share something you make with any of those kits... We need to get some activity and maybe some challenges going on in here again |
